Stop Worrying, Start Living

Do we suffer depression due to interpersonal conflicts? If so why?

Intra-Persona conflict, the genesis.

When we grow up, we learn how to behave in school, how to behave at home, how to behave with parents, teachers, in the market, in functions and as we grow up, with friends, family, kids and so on.

So, we are not “one entity” as we think. Our body is the host of different personalities which is controlled by our mind.

We have good personalities, kind-hearted, loving, and very dark-sided like aggressive personalities in our minds. They are used differently by the mind in different situations. You are like an actor, playing different roles.

Now as we play these roles, our minds can’t keep a track of these unique personas and handle them quite well.

The problem happens when there is a difficult situation in life. To fight that, the mind has to bring all these personas. Now, there will be conflicts. Should I be kind or aggressive to a person cheating on me?

Now, the reality of one persona Crosse across others and they start conflicting. Now the negative thoughts become a chain reaction. Never-ending set of thoughts, making you feel lonely, unwanted and many times worthless.

This becomes pathological depression.

A high self-awareness, identifying and separating these personas is then needed to fight this silent killer.
