1. Buy Time for EMI
You can go to the bank branch and explain about your job loss and buy 90 days’ time. Give a letter. Often it works.
2. Reserve Future Credit
Have some cash? Clear your credit card dues so that if needed, you have a future credit line. Now with lesser cash, you are in fast mode.
3. Cut Expenses
Everything other than healthy food, shelter, and kids’ education are bad expanses. (Ex:-Netflix etc)
If in a rented house, shift to lesser rent.
4. Go Light
Jordon Peterson:- Get rid of everything you didn’t use for the last 60 days(barring seasonal cloaths). eBay/OLX/give-away and go light.
5. Clean
Clean home, desk, etc. It brings positive vibes.
6. Tell Everyone
Tell friends, a family that you lost your job and are “haunting” . It’s okay to lose a job but not cool to appear cool. People help when they know you need help.
7. Don’t Sit at Home
YouTube/books only at night. Go out and physically give resumes to companies. It keeps you away from depression and your comfort zone.
8. Apply Higher
Apply for higher posts, makes you believe that you can do better.
9. Find Revenue
Try immediately for some freelancing/ Uber/Swiggy. Bring cash.
10. Don’t Beg
People don’t offer jobs to those who appear needy(sadly).
