7 Deadly Distortion Tools The Low-Level Manipulators and Gamers Use on You

manipulation, game, exhaustion

Distortion

A distortion is a form of manipulation whereby your ability to see reality is impaired. Thereafter thoughts are implanted in such a way that you perceive stories as reality and try to fit your reality into those stories.

A Low-Level Gamer and Manipulator

When it comes to manipulation, education, degree, position, and most often even financial status do not count. A low-level manipulator is often an underdeveloped brain, with a history of trauma(often complex post-traumatic personality disorder), who develops a defensive storified world where everything is rosy, they are the heroes, others are the villains, and they deserve to be the top of the world, and others deserve to suffer.

Anyone who narrates a victim story is one who can be easily observed to live in stories and drag others into their stories. More so, you will find no means of verifying the stories. Because their reality is pathetic, and because they do not have the ability to change their reality, they want you to leave your reality and make their fantasy your reality, so that seeing your misery they feel good about themselves.

The 7 Distortion Tools are

  1. Generalization.
  2. Projection(Current moment projected as fact).
  3. Classification(Like doctors, engineers, poor, rich).
  4. Triangulation(comparing yourself with another individual with an intention to make you act like the reference individual).
  5. Indefinitisation(Keeping in thoughts, guessing).
  6. Exaggeration.
  7. Detraction.

Examples

1. Generalization(storyification)

Ex- “You are a strong independent woman”

Story distortion

Reality is, you are just a woman, a human. Like any other human, you will be strong at times, weak at times, interdependent on others, and independent in a few aspects.

But the moment your brain is made to believe that story, you will act to keep that story true in every situation.

Let’s say, you are in pain and want to cry, but as you believe you are strong, you won’t. It drains the brain because of the incongruence between reality and story.

Because in reality, we need to deal with the good, bad, and ugly of ourselves and others, and stories can’t justify that, distortion is served as a generalization.

2. Projection

This is a tool by means of which the manipulators, who often live away from reality, in their filthy stinky world of imagination, narrate their imagination as reality and drag you into that projected reality. they act like the director in that reality TV show and make you the actor. As you act, they import your acts into their imagination. At times projections are direct, but most times they are directed not directly at you but are narrated before you to inspire you to act like that.

Most girls these days are so lazy, they don’t want to earn their bread and butter. I have seen very few great females who go to work, earn money and contribute towards their family. They are the ones whom society respects. How can anyone respect a homemaker?

Projection(the wish of you to go to work is projected with respect and a fake social scenerio)

“Our daughter is like our son”.

And she is fucked for her life, because now she will do everything to become like a son, loosing her ability to become a mother.

3. Classification

“You are such a nice guy, I have never met a nice guy who respects woman as much as you”.

Classification of simply a guy, by a female of dark triad, who doesn’t even know the definition of respect.

The classification pattern always has a signature “You are a___”. Well, you don’t need anyone to tell you who you are. Who you are is your lifelong quest. You wouldn’t want people to classify you, because then you would continue to squeeze your blood out to remain classified in the class that makes you feel good.

4. Triangulation

This is also called comparison. You are being compared with another person or at times even object, to implant a sense of inferiority in you(or at times fake superiority in you).

“Look at your cousin, he studies so well, can’t you just learn from him? “.

Triangulation with another person who doesn’t matter.

Often triangulation is presented to you as a form of inspiration and motivation because the manipulator’s filthy brains have anything but reality.

5. Indefinitisation(Keeping in thoughts, guessing).

Overthinking puts you into a chain of thoughts, exhausting and making you energyless. You keep guessing and getting sick as your brain and body are deprived of energy. Finally, you feel depressed and low, and you literally become bedridden. Then the manipulator finds himself/herself stronger than you, offers you sympathy, and becomes a self-proclaimed empath.

Then they claim that they helped you “get up from the bed.” Many a time, the manipulators keep you guessing simply because they want to keep their options open but want you to have them as your only option.

You:”Will you marry me?”
her: “We are good friends, lets live our life, I have not yet thought about marriage”

Keeping options open, and you are not the choice

You remain in hope, guess, and fantasies, just like the dark triad persona lives.

6. Exaggeration

Indian corporate employees, who are good for nothing, and they know that they are good for nothing, exaggerate their pins to pens, pens too (___?___), (___?___) to diamond, diamond to the crown. Exaggeration can be directed at the bosses to make those manipulative bosses feel good or maybe self-directed to convince themselves how relevant and competent that pin is (which too is stolen by the way from the colleague’s desk), and that no one could create something as extraordinary as that pin.

Sales VPs in startups are a classic example of this. Good identification of exaggeration is Name-dropping.

Sales VP: “Today I met our health minister. It was so hard. After trying for last 3 months I could manage this meeting(read I did not work a shit for last three months), if this deal happens then we will be a quadrillion dollar company. My college friend is the son in law of our health minister. ”
You: “Wow, Sadhu Sadhu”

The health minister met public in the public darbar BTW, and they have no problems in photographs.

7. Detraction

Detractors are the lowest losers. Often this is where the whole journey of graduating as a manipulator starts, mostly in schools and colleges. You study and someone you perceive as your friend will call you to play with him. You do coding and someone will call you to talk. Mostly the detractors are the lowest productive people and they hate you for your productivity. They would do anything and everything to prevent you from being productive.

Drama queens are the common detractors, who want the entire world to remain preoccupied with their drama. Whenever you have an important meeting or deal, their drama will start.

Drama Queen: “Its being so long that you have taken me to dinner. Can we go for a dinner tonight?”
You: “But you know that I have final project delivery date tomorrow, lets go day after”

Drama Queen: “I knew you will say this, you have time for everything other than me, everything else is your priority other than me”😭

And when you finally buy the ticket of the drama she tells herself, see I am not the only ideal one, I have stress, and so I handle stress, put under stress anyone would become unproductive!
