Positive vs Negative Psychology and Mindset

Mindset is a specific pattern in which our brain thinks and acts according to that thinking pattern. In simple terms, an individual with positive psychology has a strong memory and therefore learns from past experiences, and hence wants to gather more experiences in life.

Because an experience in itself has various events, some of which have bad feelings, and some good feelings, most have losses and some gains, and because connected events that form a story or experience create a stable emotion, an individual with positive psychology is one who keeps collecting life’s experiences(good and bad both).

An individual with negative psychology on the other hand is essentially an individual with poor memory. Thus past experiences often do not create stable emotions. However, our brains always save bad events so that we can avoid them in the future. Therefore, the general emotional experience of such individuals are negative, and they care about their current feeling, rather than focusing on the experience of life.

Some common differences between positive psychology and negative psychology

What is meant by toxicity?

When you are surrounded by a lot of negative people, your brain feels threatened and remains alert. Genetically our brains have learned the difference between trustworthy people and harmful people. The alertness of the brain requires more energy than the brain generally takes. Because energy production, transportation, and distribution in the body are rather fixed, being around negative people requires the body to produce more energy. More energy requires a higher metabolic rate.

As the production and energy consumption in any industrial factories increase, so does industrial waste. In the same way, dealing with a lot of negative people create a lot of excess metabolic waste in our body. Our excretory system needs to work overtime to dispose of this negative waste.

The kidney, in particular, is one of our body’s main filtering and reabsorption organs, and the gut is the next organ that reabsorbs a lot of unused hormones and helpful chemicals. More biowaste means the waste stays in our body for a longer period. This is called toxicity.

What are the common signs that you are around toxic people?

  • Bad breath.
  • Bad and stinky body odor.
  • Stinky smell of ammonia in the urine.
  • Pimples, infections, blisters in the body.
  • constipation.
  • dehydration, and dry mouth.
  • nightmares.

The above are the common signs that you are either around toxic people, or you are operating under negative psychology.

Behavioral Signs in you that suggests that you are surrounded by toxic people

  • Are you experiencing aggression, restlessness, internal pain, turmoil, fake smile, anger, frustration, and constant going down self-esteem?
  • Feeling hurt, rejected, dejected, humiliated, and hurting and humiliating others, only to later regret, and feel bad yourself?
  • Unable to sleep, waking up at night, feeling dizzy as you get up?
  • Wanting the day to pass by, scrolling social media infinitely?
  • Being told that you don’t care, when you think no one cares more than you?
  • Pretending and acting strong and devastated internally?
  • Knowing that your life sucks and yet showing people it rocks?
  • Then laughing back at the showoff, followed by crying in silence?
  • Crying over childhood stuff endlessly?
  • Is this the reality that you are living in denial of?

What is Detoxification?

Autonomic Nervous System of Toxicity

Autonomic Nervous System
Autonomic Nervous System

We now know that when we are surrounded by negative people, or under negative psychology, we need way more energy than when we are operating with positive psychology and around positive people.

Our major organs coordinate with each other to manage our minds and body. This coordination happens with a nervous system called the autonomic nervous system as you can see in the above diagram.

One of the primary sources of our energy is glucose. As you can see in the diagram above the liver converts glycogen to glucose. The liver is like the Electricity production company of our body. From the above image it is clear that for producing more energy, our organs need to be in sympathetic mode. when you are around more negative people, you are in more sympathetic mode.

The Science of detoxification

So, if toxicity means more sympathetic dominance, then detoxification means? of course more parasympathetic dominance. The parasympathetic system is our rest and recovery system, which is also responsible for the digestion and storage of energy. The hormone insulin is our energy storage hormone. Insulin is secreted in parasympathetic mode. The insulin hormone is modulated by the hormone Estrogen. Estrogen is our emotional hormone. So what are the strategies for detoxification then? (see the left side of the image)

  • More rest.
  • Gather more emotion.
  • No anger(on the right side in the sympathovagal system you can see secretion of the hormone norepinephrine, which increases anger, so the parasympathetic system needs? yes, no anger).
  • Slow breathing.
  • Not dilating the pupils(means less light).
  • Urine, excretion.

Based on this science, let’s now create a simple 30-minutes detoxification routine to heal your body.

2. Take Your Quality of life Self-Assessment Test

60-Minutes Detoxification Therapeutics to Help Body Heal from Day-long negativity and toxicity

This routine needs to be followed in the evening after sunset. Therefore you need to end your day before at least 2 hours of dinner. You will need 30 minutes of preparation for detoxification, 30 minutes of detoxification, and 30 minutes to get back to your life, and then you will spend at least 30 minutes with your family before dinner.

  1. Slowly drink from a glass half a liter of water over 10 minutes time.
  2. Relax for 10 more minutes. Loosen your muscle and body.
  3. Got to freshen up. If you are comfortable, take a warm shower(highly recommended).
  4. Lie down on the bed and read a few pages of a storybook. (I suggest erotic literature, which also stimulates your sexual pathways, that are associated with the parasympathetic system)
  5. Switch off your mobile(not silence, switch off) for 30 minutes.
  6. Keep a dim light, and put off the neon or CFL light. (It relaxes pupils).
  7. Close the doors and prevent any outside noise. If you have a family, ask the family not to disturb you for these 60 minutes.
  8. While reading, you might fall asleep, or nap, and that is perfectly fine.
  9. You may play light music in the room, like a saxophone, violin, and piano, but not with headphones.

After detoxification

  1. Do not debate, argue, outbursts.
  2. Avoid using phones. (talking over the phone is absolutely not advisable)
  3. Avoid watching television.
  4. Prefer talking with family, sharing stories, and discussing growth and positive things. (See the first table).

Points to be strictly followed and remembered

  1. Just like our working time is fixed, our detoxification time must also be fixed. Hence you have to carry out this therapeutic every day exactly at the same time.
  2. Because when the body and brains suffer from toxicity, our limbic brain is more active, which is our habit brain, you need to follow this every day, so that brain can form a habit.

All the best in your healing! We are excited to be part of your journey!
