Improve Your Teaching and Life With This One Change

A 2.5D Classroom scene where a teacher is teaching physics. There are physical objects in the classroom and teacher is teaching physics.

A. Make this change in teaching style

Stop using the keywordS “Any Doubts?”, “Understood?,” “Any questions?,” “Look here”, “Listen please”

B. Brain and Neuroscience

1. Human babies are born prematurely(yes 9 months too).

2. A baby is born with a significantly underdeveloped brain. Hence babies are born with 400gm of the brain at max, and about 250gm on average.

3. As the baby grows, the brain develops(up to the age of 25).

4. Language is not natural and is not present in any other animals. Structured language is processed in the human brain in Broca’s area, on the left brain.

5. The density of the mass on the left hemisphere in a child is far less than in the right brain.

C. The teaching process

1. Humans have mirror neurons through which a student can imitate his/her physiological state of the one observed.

2. No one can understand or listen or learn from anyone. (Read again). Students mimic the teacher’s physiology(temperature, heart rate, breathing rate).

3. The endocrine then couples the neurochemicals. And so the brain patterns start mimicking the teacher.

4. What really is happening biologically is that your neuron pathways are being replicated in the students.

5. The knowledge transfer is maximum when brain waves are slow and minimum when they are fast(during anxiety).

D. The core problem

6. Teaching is no more a transformation of knowledge, it is rather a job, and dumping a bunch of irrelevant information into a kid’s super underdeveloped brain.

7. When you use short words like “Listen here”, “Silence please”, and “look here”, they come from your anxious midbrain. They come because just like your habit of multitasking you keep thousands of threads in your brain while teaching.

It is a job anyways. Who sees what garbage one carries to class anyways?

8. Animals understand variations in sound, and humans understand structured language.

9. However whenever an individual with thousands of active brains “teaches” (or pretends to teach) such words come out due to irritation of the brain.

10. With an anxious impulsive brain throwing impulsive words, a child’s brain in sync with the teacher becomes anxious exactly the same way.

11. Anxiety is a key inhibitor of brain development.

E. The unfortunate reality

School gets its 1.5L, parents get their validation, and you get your salary, what does an innocent child get? An Impaired brain. And? Impaired physical strength due to impaired motor cortex.

F. Your poison

Mirror neurons are bidirectional. When your multithreaded, garbage-loaded, impulsive brain puts anxiety into 50 children, their cumulative anxiety does the same to you.

You may develop significant acidity and indigestion as the first sign of Neuroticism developing in you. In no time you will stop feeling anything. (even your family).

Stop using your impulsive habit words from today, and see the change in your digestion, as well as the participation and happiness of children.

G. Conclusion

If you are a teacher and have been observing an inattentive class, then the class is showing you a mirror of your impaired brain, lack of focus, lack of calmness, and “doing the job”.

Doing duty, responsibility, job, taking care of family, earning a livelihood, and helping parents all sound cool till a point when the induced Neuroticism in your brain eliminates your emotions, physical strength, and sleep, and you remain in a sustained state of low mood and irritation.

Class-induced anxiety is one of the primary reasons for the immunity compromise of children. Not only that, a significant number of teachers today suffer from IBS and piles exactly due to this class-induced anxiety.

Teaching may appear a safe, satisfactory, and “decent” profession, but if you are not someone who can focus for 4-5 hours without any ripples in the brain, then teaching must be last in your priority.

Irrespective of how much you convince yourself of “loving children”, being passionate about teaching, and all those stories if you do not get these words out, learn to concentrate, learn the art of not carrying other threads in your brain, your same beloved profession can destroy your brain and body in no times.

There is no escape. None.
