Why Data Never Lies is a Lie Itself: Lyfas Articles Performance Case Study of Last Year

Two people are busy with data and a boy is laughing and fell in ground seeing them

Data Gives No Insights and Measurements, But Data Gives A Direction, Only Life Gives Knowledge, Seniors Give Wisdom

A. The objective of The Post

To tell you, why data plays less than 10% significance in business and life.
(But the actual objective is to feel good and make some people envious to get a narcissistic pleasure, besides getting an achievement sense!!!!🙊

Let’s Delve into Data and Statistics now.

B. Linkedin

1. In the last year, I have written 123 articles on Linkedin, and 129 on our website.
2. Linkedin Articles are obviously 3000 characters long, but the website articles average 2000 words or more.
3. In one year, I have had 1.5 Million views on our posts. (They say that if I don’t speak in millions, then my life sucks, so I cleverly wrote this to feel like a “decent founder” 🙊!!)
4. I get 4176 daily reads, and 32 daily engagements. 8 new readers add my posts to their feeds daily.
6. More than 60% of my reader base are Seniors, founders, and top executives.

C. Lyfas Website

1.

Our Organic Traffic Growth in one year is 1000%.

Wait, let me rephrase.
We have achieved 10x growth in our organic traffic.
(Experts say Startups must always express growth in X, not in %. Uff, ‘X’ always gives high, ain’t it?)

2. Our US reader base has surpassed the Indian reader base. Yea, that “ghar ki Murgi daal barabar” stuff!

3. Our average engagement time on the site is 2 Minutes(whereas the website’s best industry standard is 30 seconds). So, we are ready for 7x more time than other websites(still short by 3x 😥 in startup standard).

4. Female readers(52%) are higher than Male Readers(48%)

D. Interpretation(Insight)

This is the part where you can write anything to feel great. Like “We have 1.5 Million Social impressions, 10x Organic traffic growth, with an International footprint blah blah blah”

E. Now the Subjective Facts

1. It takes me an average of 4 hours to write one LinkedIn article.
2. It takes me 6 hours to write a site article.
3. Replying to each comment takes about 15 minutes.

F. The Story

1. I can do it every day, because I don’t care outcome(that I don’t work for money? Same thing🙊).
2. I love teaching. I don’t have a blackboard now, so I use a white editor.
3. My son is 12 years old. And my 28000+ students, 1000+ patients are all my children. I write, so that if I die tomorrow, still they can find solutions to life through my writing.

G. The Real Insight

1. A lot(or the majority) of my writings are complex and multi-dimensional. History says men should provide meaning in life and philosophy, women should provide care, love, and feelings. Unfortunately, guys now look for shortcuts, and women read complex philosophies to find meaning. No wonder guys are “bitching” about unfair, gold diggers, blah blah.

Because there are fewer guys evolving as men and teaching their girl’s life, girls are less interested in giving back feelings, and in relationships.

H. Reader’s Comments

Rupam Das, you have mentioned that the average engagement time is two minutes on your company site. I have been reading your posts for quite some time now. I believe my time is much more “X” times than this. You must also capture how many readers read how many times to understand. Mine is again multiple “X” times.
I agree with you that you should not make it simpler for people to understand. One must upgrade knowledge to understand this.
Priceless things come at a cost and here the cost is in terms of understanding complex terms and meaning.
Keep enlightening us.

H. Why you must not waste time on Data

1. Our website has been designed to not give any clear directions to the reader.
2. On a design scale, it will rank 1 in 10.
3. Most say “Write simple things for people to understand,” I say “Let those who really seek knowledge uplift their ability to understand and think”
4. Experts say “Quality over Quantity”, or “Niche Targeting”, “Solve People’s problems.” Bullshit. So the best you do is help them raise their thinking levels.
5. Rather than spending time perfecting design, and content, go and experiment in life, and share real learning with people. Life is not perfect, and not black and white either. And Business is part of life, not separate from life.

6. Irrespective of how one presents data, everyone looks for some data to make them feel good. Like EBITDA adjust profit!!!!

7. If you are working daily to become more successful by number, then you will be up for a wild ride. Success=1/Anxiety. Pursue what matters to you, and that will give you a livelihood. The extra money will not let you pursue life’s goals.

8. Simplicity, good design, data, insights, and analytics, all play a role, but minuscule. Today your success depends upon what you can do that a machine can’t and that’s all.

Don’t waste days on data.

The biggest lie is “data never lies”, because data doesn’t tell any truths at the first place.
